Royal by name and royal by nature, these rooms were born with a silver spoon in their mouths. They offer all the perks of the Signature Experience along with an extra helping of generosity and plenty of wiggle room. Beautifully furnished and with rich and sophisticated decor, we’re convinced that pure, unadulterated luxury doesn’t get much better than this.
Whilst the weather was good during our stay, it was cold, having been before, although having booked a very nice contemporary Royal room in the walled garden, we decided to upgrade to an Historic room in the main house, the main reason being, it meant we did not have to go outside every time we wanted to access the restaurant or entertainment area. Our room, the Lord Nelson, was very clean, well equipped with a very good bathroom. This room is not suitable for those who cannot tackle the staircase in the main house, there is not a lift in this part. All the staff were very helpful & friendly, the food & service were of a high quality & the grounds as lovely as ever.
There is nothing we could fault this was an amazing weekend
We had an excellent room, good food and first class entertainment
It was a Birthday celebration for 4 adults sister and husband, niece and myself assortment of ages and tastes and it suited all
the food, most of which was buffet style was very good with a wide choice to suit all tastes for both Breakfast and Dinner
We cannot praise the waiting staff enough for their attention and service to us
On Saturday our table was decorated for the 'Birthday Girl' (this incurred a separate charge but was well worth it)
The entertainment on Saturday evening '[Sing Baby Sing' was very very good (the fact the 70's was our era helped we knew all the words). It was also lovely that Sing Baby Sing came around the audience after their set and spoke to us all a lovely touch.
We all went Monday to Friday we had a lovely time. The food was lovely entertainment was very good. Staff could not do enough for you. The grounds are so lovely we all went a walk round went and looked in the house were they made To the Manor born very nice. There were 2 trips we went on both the coach driver was so lovely. A lot of older people found it very hard getting to their rooms it is a long walk. We will go again
